Bob Hinz – Owner/President

Bob is a second-generation home builder who has owned and operated HomeWrights Custom Homes with his wife and partner, Mary, since 2002. Bob also spent some time on the supply side of the construction business, working for Denver-based Hugh M. Woods back in the 70’s and 80’s.

Bob worked for a major forest products company in the 80’s and 90’s. After finishing graduate school at Southern Methodist University, he did a short stint in business consulting in the 90’s but simply could not escape the call of the home construction industry. He returned to his passion in 2002 when he launched his startup, HomeWrights Custom Homes. Bob now leads a growing team of experienced general contractors, project managers, and construction experts who know how to guide you and coach you to building the home of your dreams!

Justin Geissler – Operations Manager

Justin grew up in the Denver/Littleton area and has worked in various construction trades since 2000. In addition to plumbing counter sales, framing, and working in a custom door and cabinet shop, Justin also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nepal and operated a landscaping business for several years.

Justin joined the HomeWrights team in 2015 and enjoys sharing his experience to help clients build the homes they’ve always dreamed of. Justin likes to spend his free time with his wife and two boys, hiking, snowboarding, and camping in the Colorado mountains.

Dale Quye – Project Manager

Dale’s experience with building started in the summer after 5th grade when his dad and mom decided to have their first custom home built in Michigan. They went on to build two more by the time he entered high school. Dale spent many summers working in construction as well as taking a building trades class in his junior year where he studied blue prints and planning in the classroom before heading out into the field to do a turnkey build on a new home.

After moving to California at 18 he started working for a framing contractor and really started to learn how to construct homes. At the age of 29 he had his general contractor’s license in the state of California. Since then he has enjoyed nearly two decades working on many new homes, additions and remodels. Going on his third year with HomeWrights Custom Homes he looks forward to many more years partnering with individuals and families who want to build their own custom home.

Gary Wood – Project Manager

Gary has been building with integrity since 1993 in Boulder County, Colorado. With the motto “The Details Make the Difference” Gary Wood Signature Homes is a winner of numerous industry awards. Gary is committed to continuous research and utilization of the latest building science that incorporate products, systems, and technologies which result in cost effective, energy efficient homes with lower operating costs, superior comfort, better indoor air quality, reduced impact on the environment and the ability to withstand all local climate conditions. 

Gary is dedicated to creating property value, customer satisfaction, and a positive building experience for our owner/builders. Many of our clients become long-term friends as a result of the straightforward communication and integrity demonstrated by team members like Gary Wood.

John Gifford – Project Manager

John began working with his father in construction projects at age 5! Home additions and remodeling has been a family affair from the 70’s until as recent as the summer of 2019 when John and family did a complete remodel for a family member’s first home. He started framing custom homes in the Vail valley in 1990 and in 1997 earned his AAS in engineering. Shortly after that began working towards his Bachelor in Civil Engineering at the University of Colorado. There he was hired as an intern for a city municipality and became a project manager of capital improvement projects.

That experience catapulted him into residential construction. John honed his skills as a major residential production builder and senior project manager on over ten subdivisions with over 1500 homes. In 2009 he worked with a masonry contractor as a senior project manager in residential and commercial stone, stucco, and brick. After emersion in over 30 subdivisions and 20 large commercial projects his career took a turn back toward general contracting when he joined the HomeWrights team in August 2019. John’s clients find his diverse experience and easy going style reassuring in the complex world of custom home building. In his free time, John loves boating, watersports, and anything outdoors!

Patrick Haney – Project Manager

Patrick Haney is a Denver native with construction experience dating back to his college years. Patrick holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Metropolitan State University of Denver. Patrick enjoyed success in the solar panel industry for five years from 2008 through 2012.

During these years he oversaw the installation of hundreds of solar energy systems. His entrepreneurial spirit helped him launch his own handyman/repair company which enjoyed several years of success.

Most recently, Patrick has worked in the field of high-end commercial and industrial coatings where he coordinated and estimated millions of dollars’ worth of completed projects. Patrick has found his home joining the team at HomeWrights as a Project Manager. He enjoys working alongside clients and watching their vision of their home come to life.

Bryan Fujimoto – Project Manager

Bryan’s love for construction began in college where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Structural Engineering from the US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. He had to put his passion on hold for a while, while serving in the US Air Force for 24 years, flying as a Weapons Systems Officer in the F-15E Strike Eagle. Bryan kept the passion alive though by earning a Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering from Colorado State University in Fort Collins.

Upon retiring from the Air Force in 2011, he completed a Residential Construction Superintendent course and flipped multiple homes. Bryan also became a licensed Home Inspector putting his aviation-honed “attention to detail” skills to good use in the field of residential construction.

Bryan has the unique perspective of having been an Owner-Builder client of HomeWrights Custom Homes, building his dream home with his wife in Monument, Colorado, just north of Colorado Springs. He loves sharing his experience and knowledge of construction with clients to partner with them in building their dream homes!

Carl Swenson – Project Manager

A native of Florida, Carl’s experiences with construction started as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. His involvement with building included digging foundations and laying roof shingles during hot Florida summers. Being able to see and appreciate the tangible results of a day’s work led Carl to pursue a career in construction.

After graduating from the University of Florida in 2017 with a master’s in construction management, Carl spent several years in south Florida working for a general contractor, building high-end hotels and condos. He continued to work in multi-family construction when he moved to Colorado and recently joined HomeWrights Custom Homes to help owners bring their ideas to fruition.

Carl has a bachelor’s degree in Sustainability and the Built Environment. He aspires to integrate the concepts of efficient and environmentally friendly design into the field of custom homes.
